When I was very young I fell in love with clothing. I remember each outfit I have worn at any significant event in my life. How the clothing felt, texture and color. My parents celebrated my birthdays and holidays with clothing, jewelry or a handbag. I was allowed to purchase clothing regularly, but the rest was reserved for very special occasions. I still have my first piece of jewelry and handbag I every received.

My style icon was my Grandmother. She was a seamster who ran a department that created lovely Pucci pieces.  Even though she was not wealthy my Grandmother had a rich and vibrant wardrobe. She created amazing outfits and always stood tall and proud of who she was. I learned to paint my nails and walk in high hills from her. Today, I wear her jewelry and a few clothing pieces from the 1940's.

I do not believe clothing and accessories are about today's styles that are here today and gone tomorrow. What we wear reflects economics conditions, cultures and one's state of self worth. Whether you care a $3,000 handbag or a $15 one it says a lot about who you are.

I am writing this blog to explore the ideas behind clothing and accessories and show you some of my favorites. I hope you enjoying my posts and comment often.
